Washoe GOP’s Last-Minute Meeting Raises Questions About How Endorsements Are Decided and who gets to Participate and what the Washoe GOP is trying to do.
I have been a registered Republican for 58 years. When I considered running for county district 5, I met with Bruce Parks. He informed me the central committee could endorse candidates for the primary. I have never liked Parks and after that meeting I realized that he is nothing more than a carpetbagger. I eventually decided not to run.
The Washoe County Republican Party is nothing more than a good old Boys and Girls Club.Parks should be run out of town on a rail train.
I don’t think the party can be repaired after the damage this group of clowns have done.

Politics - at every level from the White House down to the local Library Board - is a bloodsport. If you think that the two parties duke it out during the election season and then get together for a kumbaya moment where they compromise, "reach across the aisle" and agree to do wonderful things for all of us you're sadly mistaken. The great old saw is that a Republican victory is where the Democrats get 90% of what they want and we get 10%. Meaningless table scraps. We're then told: "We fought the good fight! We'll get 'em next time. Please send in your monetary contributions!"
The greatest failing of the GOP is that it is unable to CONSOLIDATE (itself and us voters) behind candidates who can actually win.
There are LOTS of us out here! Hardcore Republicans. Republican Women. Business Owners. MAGA Supporters. Parents. School Choicers. Girls Only in Girls Sporters. Gun toters. Hunters. 2nd Amendment Supporters. Entrepreneurs. Border Closers. Worshippers.
We are all DYING to be be lead to a GOP victory! We would ALL respond to a strong GOP message that "this is the guy or gal we need to elect! Let's ALL get behind him or her starting NOW!"
Why in the world would the GOP list so many candidates on its list? To prove open mindedness? Diversity? Show what a "broad field" of candidates and ideas we have? This is nonsense. Fog.
Is the GOP ensconced is it's offices somewhere waiting passively for "someone to rise to the top?" Only then might the winner be allowed to kneel at the GOP altar seeking its anointment?
Trump came along and blew the GOP to smithereens! And we're better off for it. Look at what's been accomplished in the last 15 months. And now IN POWER, look at our bench of future candidates! Vance. Rubio. DeSantis. Erik and Don Jr. Green, Noem, Lake. We could STAY in power for years and years! (Please Lord. Please.)
